On my first puff of this it was synthetic. That very common sort of artificial floral watermelon flavor and I was immediately turned off. However, I realized that watermelon nerds candy actually does taste exactly like this and what my tongue had thought was synthetic was actually just the sourness after the watermelon. I can't explain why but I came around to actually liking it quite a bit and think it is spot on to the candy.
If you get this and hate it... try thinking about what a real watermelon/apple nerds candy tastes like - that it is sour and tart.. and you might end up liking this. Bizarre, I know.
